Children’s Miracle Network telethon raises more than $1.9 million for Dayton Children’s

The Children’s Miracle Network telethon raised $1,923,254 for The Children’s Medical Center of Dayton last weekend through the Children’s Miracle Network.

The telethon aired locally on WHIO-TV, Channel 7 and was hosted by on-air personalities Cheryl McHenry, Mike Hartsock and K99.1FM’s Nancy Wilson.

“Dayton Children’s is fortunate to have the support of many sponsors, families, local groups and businesses, employees and volunteers,” says Debbie Butner, telethon manager at Dayton Children’s.

“This outstanding effort will provide the best in medical equipment for the many young children we serve in our community.”

Dayton Children’s ambassadors for 2009-2010 were welcomed during the broadcast.

Ambassadors represent Dayton Children’s throughout the year. They are:

The Children’s Miracle Network telethon began 27 years ago. Dayton Children’s has been a participant in the telethon since its inception. Dayton Children’s was one of the original 22 participant hospitals.

Supporting the Children’s Miracle Network helps ensure children throughout the Miami Valley receive the quality health care they deserve when treated at Dayton Children’s. One hundred percent of the funds raised locally through the Children’s Miracle Network stay at Dayton Children’s.
