Laboratory/pathology
Laboratory receives full accreditation! The College of American Pathologists completed their review of the laboratory and Dayton Children’s was given full accreditation! The reviewers gave extremely high praise to our staff and the quality of our laboratory. The phrases "exemplary", "outstanding", "best I’ve ever seen" and "we’ve learned so much from you" were used throughout the exit interview! Although several "phase II" recommendations were given, most were minor policy changes that were corrected throughout the day. Congratulations to L. David Mirkin, MD, and Sarah Jenkins, PhD, for this outstanding achievement!
